Ancient Roman gold ring with a solid band and bezel decorated in the shape of the sun with central cell and inserted carnelian intaglio; 2.79 grams, 21.45 mm max overall size, 20.98 mm max internal diameter. Fine condition. From the private collection of a German gentleman, acquired on the UK art market around 2000s.
