"Rome- Imperial period bronze fibula (brooch) of a circular form with an openwork design featuring the letters ROMA or PRIMA (associated with Cohors Prima- the best cohort in the legion), with the R, M, and A circumscribed by the O; the pin is absent. Dark-green patina; 31mm, 13.38 grams. Property of a London collector, previously purchased on the German Art market prior to the 2000s."
