Bronze Age Socketed Spearhead Circa 1000 BC
A solid bronze spear with flared socket developing into a leaf-shaped blade; hole to accept attachment pegs . Cf. Ehrenberg, M., Bronze Spearheads from Berks, Bucks and Oxon, BAR 34, Oxford, 1977 . 1801 grams, 192 cm. Very fine condition.Ex European private collection, acquired around the 1990s on the German art market. Currently in UK private collector.
