Tudor Period-Fede Ring with Clasped Hands, Circa 15en-17en Century AD
A silver-Partly gilded ring with flat band and bezel formed as clasped hands ; 23.25mm outer diameter, 20.90mm max inner diameter, 3.59 grams.From the collection of European collector living in the UK. Fine condition. The "fede" ring is a symbol of fidelity and unity. In the Roman , Tudor and Victorian era, they were given as tokens of love or friendship. Clasped hands were also a popular motif for wedding rings.
