Roman Silver Ring with Red Intaglio, Circa 1st-3rd Century AD
A silver ring with an oval hoop, expanding towards the conical shoulders, circular-encased carnelian stone, red carnelian intaglio engraved with a image of fountain.; 5.99 grams, 21.66 mm overall, 17.50 mm internal diameter. German art market before the 2000s. Currently property of a Surrey gentleman, originally acquired on the German art market.
