Roman Bronze Lid with Eagle Figurine, Circa 2nd ,3rd Century AD

A solid bronze figurine of eagle , standing on oval flat base with loop- possibly lid of bronze oil lamp; 135.46 grams, 38 mm in length. Very fine condition. Recently acquired from a EU collector, previously purchased on the German art market around the 1990s.
