Iron entraching tool with one of ends formed as a digging blade and the back as hammerhead; l. Length: 255 mm, weight over 600 gr. From the collection of London collector. Acquired form EU auction house. FOOTNOTES : Mention from sources that Legionnaires were required to carry a number of items as a part of their equipment, including a Dolabra, Shovel, Saw, Hatchet/ Axe, Sickle. Other items include a "Turf Cutter", Ligo, a Mattock, and other items of terra-destruction.
