The Triumvirs. Octavian. Autumn 30-summer 29 BC. AR Denarius, 19mm, 3.84 g. Uncertain mint in Italy (Rome?). Helmeted head of youthful Mars right, wearing slight beard / Circular shield, inscribed CAESAR around upper part of rim, the boss ornamented with star, lying on top of sword and spear in saltire. CRI 428; RIC I 274; RSC 44. Solid smoot surface, , slight off centre , banker’s marks. Very fine.
