The Celtic people developed superior ways of forging iron and the spread of iron work throughout Europe was largely due to the expansion of Celtic culture. An iron spearhead such as this piece would have been highly valued for its strength and long reach. A deadly weapon that could easily puncture an opponent’s armour!
