Divus Augustus, died AD 14. As (Copper, 26 mm, 11 g, ), restitution issue, Rome, struck under Titus, 80-81. DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER Radiate head of Divus Augustus to left. Rev. IMP•T•VESP•AVG•REST• / S – C Eagle standing facing on globe, wings spread and head to right. BMC 272. Cohen 551. Komnick 41.0. RIC 460. A lovely example with a dark brown patina. Minor roughness , otherwise, good very fine.
