Description
A silvered cross pendant with integral ribbed loop, expanding arms, the body decorated by dots on both sides. Cf. Pitarakis, B., Les Croix-Reliquaries Pectorales Byzantines en Bronze, Paris, 2006, items pp.374ff. 8 grams, 41mm (1 3/4″). Family UK collection, 1980s. UK art market. Property of a Surrey gentleman.
